On September 15, 2013, at approximately 1:55 a.m., members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to [blackout]424 [/blackout]Arbor Drive, Glen Burnie, for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased on the front porch of the residence. Officers learned that the victim was shot by the homeowner.
The Criminal Investigation Division’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Investigation revealed that the suspect, who was later identified as Matthew Martin Pinkerton, and the victim knew each other. The victim was shot by Pinkerton at some point after he was granted entrance into the residence. The motive for the shooting is still being investigated, but early indications are that this was a domestic related situation.
The victim has been identified as Kendall Arnaz Green, 25 years old, of Glen Burnie, Maryland.
His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The suspect, Matthew Martin Pinkerton, 34, of [blackout]424[/blackout] Arbor Drive, Glen Burnie, Maryland was subsequently arrested at his residence and charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and Use of a Handgun in the Commission of a Felony/Violent Crime.
