Join amateur astronomy buffs on some Saturday nights this fall for some stargazing at Anne Arundel Community College’s Astronomy Lab/Observatory this fall, beginning Sept. 7.
The public is invited to free monthly meetings of the AACC Astronomy Club at 7:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Those who only want to gaze at the heavens can arrive an hour later and either can bring their own telescopes and binoculars or use one of AACC’s eight telescopes to observe the night skies, weather permitting.
The first meeting of the year will focus on electing club officers. Officers must attend at least one AACC class, but do not need to be majoring in science.
Participants should park by the lab/observatory which is located in the back of Arnold parking lots A and B beside the Resource Management Building, on the AACC Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. When parking, face headlights toward the campus.
