Annapolis Memorial Honors Foot Soldiers.  A quarter million people marched in Washington for civil rights 50 years ago Wednesday, the day Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, and for those who were there, it was a day they’ll never forget. “It was just incredible to be in a crowd that big of people, all of one decent mind. It was wonderful,” civil rights foot soldier David Prosten said.

Residents Displaced After Vehicle Strikes Apartment. More than a dozen people have been displaced after a vehicle struck the side of an apartment building in Anne Arundel County. Firefighters responded to the Stagecoach Apartments in the 7600 block of Marcin Drive in Glen Burnie around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday evening. When firefighters arrived, they found the vehicle had apparently backed away from the building, but not before leaving a gaping hole in the side of it.

Federal Court Overturns Maryland Judge’s Ruling Against Developer. A federal appeals court is allowing the developer of a Gambrills shopping center to pursue its $25 million lawsuit against a labor union for using alleged “sham litigation” to attempt to keep the supermarket chain Wegmans out of a shopping center. The Daily Record reports the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the action on Monday. The court’s decision reverses a federal judge in Baltimore’s decision to dismiss the lawsuit by developer Waugh Chapel South LLC against the United Food and Commercial Workers Union locals 27 and 400.

Accuser Testifies In USNA Rape Case. A woman who is accusing three fellow Naval Academy midshipmen of sexually assaulting her at an off-campus party has testified that she doesn’t remember the alleged attack but that rumors spread quickly that she had sex with six to nine people. The senior testified for more than two hours Wednesday at the Washington Navy Yard at a hearing that will determine if the three former football players will face court-martial.
