Strong-Arm Robber Arrested In Severn.  A man has been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery in Severn, Anne Arundel County police said. Officers were called to the area of Pioneer Drive and Arwell Court around 9 p.m. Monday. A woman told police she was walking in the area when a man she knew forcibly grabbed her purse, took two cellphones, some money and fled the area.

Police Capture Suspected Armed RobberAnne Arundel County police said they captured an armed robber in Glen Burnie. Officers were called to the Xtra Mart in the 7700 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard for a report of a man with a gun around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday. A 43-year-old man told police he was getting gas at the Xtra Mart when a man approached him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.

New Bag Policy For M&T Bank Stadium.  The Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday outlined an NFL policy that limits the size and type of bags that fans may bring into M&T Bank Stadium. The NFL Committee on Stadium Security in May unanimously recommended the implementation of a measure that it says will enhance public safety and make it easier for fans to gain access in all stadiums. It was discussed with all clubs at the May league meeting and will be implemented at all NFL stadiums beginning with preseason games.

Music Teacher Charged With Abusing 15 Students.  A Montgomery County music teacher from Dundalk has officially been charged with sexually abusing several young students over the span of several years. Investigators accused Lawrence Joynes, 54, of sexually abusing female students while he was teaching at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School in Silver Spring. Montgomery County police said he was charged last week with 14 counts of sex abuse of a minor, third-degree sex offense and second-degree rape.
