Annapolis Collision Injures 3 People, 1 SeriouslyAnne Arundel County police believe excessive speed contributed to two crashes that injured three people, one of them seriously on Sunday. A Mazda Protégé trailed a Volkswagen Jetta on Spa Road and Harness Creek Road in Annapolis at about 1:15 a.m. Both vehicles lost control on a curve, flew off of the road into the woods and collided with separate trees, according to officers called to the scene.

Annapolis Man Faces Drug Charges.  A 24-year-old Annapolis man faces drug and firearm charges after his home was searched by the Southern District Tactical Patrol Team on Thursday, police said. Christopher Floyd Alverez Rudd of 319 Washington St. was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in relationship to a drug-trafficking crime and manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance.

No One Injured After Jeep Crashes Into HomeAnne Arundel County police said two residences had to be evacuated after a vehicle suspected to be stolen crashed into one early Saturday morning. Officers were called at about 1:30 a.m. to the 400 block of Maple Ridge Lane in Odenton where a woman said her 2006 Jeep Liberty had been stolen from her residence.

Police Investigating Stolen Mail.  Anne Arundel County police are working with postal authorities after residents in the county reported their mail was stolen. Police said some residents reported their outgoing mail was stolen from their home mailboxes. Some thieves who take the mail are targeting the checks which are sent through outgoing mail, many times for bill payment, police said.
