Attempted Murder Arrest In Odenton

On August 18, 2013 at approximately 2:19 A.M. officers from the Western District responded to My Place Bar & Lounge, 1676 Annapolis Road in Odenton for a reported assault.  Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old male victim lying on the ground outside the business.

The victim and the suspect, Mr. Kwesi Duson Cozier, are known to each other and have been involved an ongoing dispute over a mutual female acquaintance.  The victim and Mr. Cozier engaged in a fight while on the parking lot of 1676 Annapolis Road.  During this altercation, Mr. Cozier intentionally stuck the victim with a vehicle, pinning the victim against the building.  The victim was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma by ambulance where he is in critical but stable condition.

Officers found Mr. Cozier at Prince George’s Hospital Center receiving medical attention from injuries he sustained during the fight.   Mr. Cozier was treated, and upon his release from the hospital, he was arrested and transported to Western District.  Mr. Cozier has been charged with Attempted Murder, 1st & 2nd Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
