HyattLogo21-copyThe law firm of Hyatt & Weber, P.A. announces the addition of Adam G. Smith as an associate in the firm.  Mr. Smith will focus his practice on representing victims in personal injury and medical negligence actions.

Prior to joining Hyatt & Weber, Mr. Smith was an attorney in the law firm of Thomas V. Mike Miller, P.A., where he handled civil and criminal cases. He has represented and advised clients in criminal court in Prince George’s County, Montgomery County and Anne Arundel County.  While at the firm, he also worked as a Panel Attorney for the Public Defender’s Office in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties. He counseled individuals, who could not afford a private attorney, in criminal matters.

He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Mr. Smith received his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2012.

During law school, Mr. Smith interned at the Office of the Attorney General in Baltimore.  He volunteered in the Health Education and Advocacy Unit, advising individuals dealing with medical problems and insurance coverage issues. He worked with insurance companies on behalf of the individuals to get these issues resolved efficiently. At the end of his internship, he became a licensed mediator.

“Adam has had much experience in court and as a mediator,” said Paul J. Weber, partner and lead attorney for Hyatt & Weber’s litigation practice.  “His strengths complement our litigation practice group and will add to our high-quality legal services for representing our clients.”

Adam has lived in Maryland his entire life and has extensive ties to the Anne Arundel community, especially Indian Creek School and Archbishop Spalding High School, both of which he attended.
