Dynasplint Systems, Inc., a Severna Park based manufacturer of medical splints has laid off most of its employees. The spouse of an employee notified us last night that of the 150 people in the home office, only 40 remained.
The company is facing foreclosure proceedings on its properties. According to an article in The Capital, local bank, BB&T was owed $10 million and a recent deposit for payroll was diverted to the loan which was apparently in default. The Capital is reporting that 500 employees are affected with 270 at the Severna Park location.
