Stadium Gallery Opens On Main Street

StadGallery4There is a new face on Main Street. But it may look a little familiar. Stadium Gallery is a photographic gallery specializing in sports stadium photography. Several years ago, they were a fixture on Main Street with a different name–Sports Edition.

The Stadium Gallery offers the very unique photography of Rob Arra.  He has traveled to approximately 400 locations and captured over 750 panoramic images.

His niche is really major sports events, such as Superbowls and World Series, but he also attends almost all stadium closings and openings.  He loves capturing “Last Pitch/First Pitch” images, or inaugural games at fields like Texas Stadium, etc.

He also loves the Annapolis area, and has photographed the Naval Academy games and graduations.

The company’s products are manufactured at the headquarters in Cape Neddick, Maine.  Quality photos are available from 27″ all the way to 133″ in length.

All in all, this is an incredibly unique shop and a great addition to Main Street. If there is a sports fan in your house–please stop by!

A downtown Annapolis shop that left four years ago has returned to Main Street.

Stadium Gallery, which specializes in stadium sports photography, recently opened at 103 Main St. Formerly known as Sports Editions, it was in the same location from 2007 to 2009.

There was difficulty with the store lease the first time around, causing the shop to leave. Since then, it has opened locations in Kennebunkport, Maine, Sarasota, Fla., and Newport, R.I. This time, the owners have signed a five-year-lease in Annapolis, store liaison Alan J. Boudreau said.

The shop features the work of Rob Arra and Loring Holtz, who have been photographing stadiums since the opening of Camden Yards in Baltimore in 1992.
