Plane Crashes Into Trailer In Maryland City

UPDATE: The identity of the plane and the plane’s owner was incorrect as initially reported. There was a missing number from the tail registration.

UPDATE:  We have confirmed that a 70 year old male has been transported to shock-trauma in critical condition. In addition a male in his 40s was transported to shock-trauma with non-life threatening injuries. The male in his 40s is believed to have been the pilot.

UPDATE: There are conflicting reports on the number of injuries. According to the dispatch, 2 were transported, 1 in critical condition. According to AACoPD, there was only one injury, the pilot, who was sent to shock-trauma and was alert when pulled from the plane. We are trying to confirm!  Maryland State Police are leading the investigation and Anne Arundel County is assisting.

A small plane has crashed into a trailer on South Bruce Street in Maryland City in western Anne Arundel County.

The red and white single engine plane (tail number N 2333?) is a 1941 Lockheed 18-46. According to the FAA, the plane has been de-registered and the last owner of record was Joseph Brenner of Calabassas, CA.

At least two people have been transported to area hospitals, one is in critical condition.  From the scene, it appears that at least two homes have been damaged.
