Armed Robbery At Maryland Live! Casino

Crime SceneOn Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 7:45am officers responded to The Maryland Live! Casino located at 7002 Arundel Mills Circle Hanover, Md. 21076 for the report of an attempted armed robbery of a citizen.  Also, while on scene officers learned of another incident of an armed robbery of a citizen at the same location involving the same suspect.

In the first reported incident officers learned that at approximately 7:40am a 71 year old female was approached by the below suspect who attempted to rob her at knifepoint.  The victim advised she was about to enter an elevator at the casino when the suspect approached.   The suspect attempted to take her purse from her possession at knife point and was unsuccessful.   The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.   The victim was not injured in the incident.

While on scene officers learned of the second incident at the same location  The 35 year old female victim advised she was seated inside her vehicle in the parking garage of the casino when she was approached by the below suspect.   The suspect pointed a knife at her and demanded money after opening her car door.   The victim turned over an unknown amount of currency to the suspect who then fled the area.  The victim did not receive any injuries.   Numerous officers canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results.   The investigation is continuing at this time.

Suspect:  M-W-20s 5’6”-5’10” skinny build wearing eyeglasses, white colored baseball hat with unknown logo on the front, greenish colored t-shirt with unknown logo on front, greenish colored cargo shorts, and dark colored flip flops.
