Note: An earlier headline was misleading. There is no additional charge for valet service when it is offered; however, standard parking rates will apply. We have corrected the headline and regret the error.
Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen announced that the City and its parking management partner, Towne Park, will start a new weekend valet assisted parking program at the Noah Hillman Parking Garage this Saturday.
“Today I am announcing a pilot program to increase parking capacity at the Hillman Garage,” Mayor Cohen said. “Converting the lower deck of the garage to valet service on weekends and during special events, at no additional cost to our customers, will increase the garage capacity by 50 to 60 spaces. It’s one more way that the City of Annapolis and Towne Park are partnering to make it easy and convenient to park in Annapolis.”
Valet parking will be accessed from Gorman Street. Signage will direct motorists to choose between the valet service and the self park option. There is no additional charge for the valet service.
The City will review the success of the valet assisted parking program at the end of October to determine if the program will be continued or enhanced.
“We will evaluate the demand for the service and the cost of providing the service,” Transportation Director Richard Newell said. “The Hillman Garage currently supports 451 spaces, and because we can utilize driving lanes and maximize parking stalls, we can increase the footprint of the parking garage to benefit businesses, residents and visitors.”
