Around 6:30 a.m. on June 2, 2013, multiple 911 calls were received reporting a dwelling fire in the 1800 block of Estate Court in Severn.
The first unit to arrive on the scene reported a two-story single family home well involved in fire and immediately requested a 2nd Alarm assignment bringing a total of 45 firefighters to the scene. It took firefighters approximately 1 hour to bring the incident under control. Damage to the home, as well as two other exposure dwellings that suffered heat damage, are estimated to be in excess of $400,000.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
