Couple Attacked By Pit Bull In Serious Condition. A Glen Burnie couple attacked by a dog Friday evening is in serious condition after undergoing emergency surgery at Shock Trauma. Police were called to 300 Highland Drive for reports of a dog attack.  When they arrived, the officers found a woman in the apartment entryway suffering from multiple dog bite wounds.  As officers approached her, the dog went after her again.  Police were able to distract the animal so it didn’t attack again.

Midshipmen Identified In Sexual Assault Case. The grandfather of a U.S. Naval Academy football player says his grandson is one of three midshipmen charged with sexually assaulting a female student last year. Jackson Bush said Friday in a telephone interview with The Associated Press that Tra’ves Bush had a previous relationship with the woman but didn’t have anything to do with the alleged assault.

3 Anne Arundel Beaches Re-Open. The Anne Arundel County Health Department has lifted restrictions on swimming at three beaches after samples showed bacterial levels had returned to acceptable levels. Officials said on Friday that Beverly Beach on the Chesapeake Bay near Mayo, London Towne at Arundel Road Beach on the South River in Edgewater and Upper Magothy Beach on the Magothy River in Severna Park that restrictions were lifted. New samples were collected on Monday.

First Stall In Market House Opens. The first of eight new stalls opening in Annapolis’ historic Market House building is now serving customers. The Capital of Annapolis reported the building that has sat empty for more than a year saw its first guests Thursday when Amsterdam Falafelshop held a soft launch event for invited guests. The shop’s original location is in Washington, D.C.
