Neuman Details Progress Of First 100 Days In Office

laura-neumanAnne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman has announced she has taken significant steps to moving the County forward during her first one-hundred days in office.  Ms. Neuman completed a review of funding requests from every department and submitted her proposed Fiscal Year 2014 budget; appointed her executive cabinet; and worked collaboratively with the County Council to pass important legislation.

“The first 100 days of my administration have been focused, exciting and productive,” said County Executive Neuman.  “When I took office it was apparent that our County was lacking in resources and our government had become static.  I have assembled a team of talented professionals who share my priorities to restore pride in government and invest in our infrastructure in order to move our County forward.”

During the last four months, County Executive Neuman’s priorities have focused on collaboration, communication and transparency in all levels of local government.  She has met with government leaders, elected officials and businesses to open lines of communication and build relationships to work together.  County Executive Neuman’s proposed Fiscal Year 2014 budget allocated funds to invest in people and key infrastructure deficiencies, something that had been lacking for a number of years.
