laura-neumanAnne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman has announced that she is seeking a licensed physician to serve on the Adult Public Guardianship Review Board.

The Adult Public Guardianship Review Board of Anne Arundel County provides oversight to the County’s Departments of Social Services and Aging and Disabilities regarding their Adult Public Guardianship programs.

The Board consists of 11 individuals with experience and interest in working with elderly and disabled citizens. Members are appointed by the County Executive for a term of three years.  There is an immediate opening for a physician to serve on the Board.

The Board provides impartial oversight of the care and services provided for disabled adults under public guardianship, reviews the current status of health and welfare of those individuals, and makes recommendations as to whether guardianship should be continued, modified, or terminated. The Board meets twice a year, usually April and October.
