8th Annual Eastport Home & Garden Tour

4-418 1stYou will have an opportunity to tour eight homes from the quaint to luxurious, self-designed to historic and lush gardens in Eastport’s 8th Annual Home & Garden Tour on Sunday, June 9, 2013, 1pm — 5 p.m, rain or shine. The tour headquarters this year are at the Annapolis Maritime Museum at Second and Chester.

Here is where tour goers will pick up their tickets and a colorful and informative tour guidebook with map that leads you along the Back Creek side of the Eastport peninsula to homes on First, Second, Chester, Chesapeake and Fourth streets.  The homes on this tour feature a renovated historic watermen’s cottage, a modern Victorian, an art gallery, a built from scratch luxury home to showcase art and décor to a classic Eastport duplex.

There is even a scavenger hunt for the adventurous to locate weather instruments or rain gauges in each garden. Finders are entered to win a Jeffersonian Rain Gauge.

Proceeds from the tour are donated to support local charitable organizations and programs such as Annapolis Police Fishing Camp, Eastport Elementary Summer Camp, Annapolis Maritime Museum summer concert series, Seeds 4 Success, Girls/Boys Club and I am a Reader programs, Eastport Fire Department, Annapolis Drum & Bugle Corp and many more.

There is parking in several locations and shuttles from eCruisers llc will be on hand to transport tour-goers to the Annapolis Maritime Museum where the tour starts.  This is a free service.

Tickets are $20 and $25 after June 2nd so reserve tickets early
