Anne Arundel Modifies Stormwater Fees. Anne Arundel County property owners are getting a break on a new stormwater fee. The County Council voted Monday to limit commercial property owners’ fees at 25 percent of their property tax bill and phase in homeowners’ fees. The Capital of Annapolis reported that property owners with bills of $500 or more will pay 60 percent in 2014, 80 percent in 2015 and 100 percent in 2016.

Maryland Live! Starts Work On Poker Room.  Maryland Live! is starting to build a poker room. The casino in Anne Arundel County announced Tuesday that the poker room will be 14,800 square feet. The casino said it’s scheduled to open late this summer. Maryland Live! says it will be one of the largest poker rooms in the mid-Atlantic region. It will have more than 50 tables and a dedicated area for tournament play.

Deputy Pleads Guilty To Towing Kickback Scheme.  A Harford County sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced and fined for his role in a kickback scheme with a south Baltimore towing company. Todd Johnson, 30, of Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to bribery Monday for accepting payments for using exclusive police databases to help the Final Notice Recovery Company locate vehicles they wanted to repossess.

Police: Ray Rice’s Home Burglarized. Baltimore County police said someone broke into the home of Baltimore Ravens star running back Ray Rice. Police said Rice’s home in Reisterstown was burglarized over the weekend. Sometime between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 12:50 p.m. Saturday, a black man forced his way into a back window and stole two guns and $2,000 in cash, police said. Investigators said the burglar was captured on surveillance video.
