Chesapeake Bay Blues Fest Sets Record

922703_10151436621085292_1836227789_nChesapeake Bay Events is pleased to announce that Bonnie Raitt and the Sunday May 19 lineup for the 2013 Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival has set a Sunday ticket sales record for the festival. The previous Sunday record was held by Little Feat in 1998 and Jonny Lang in 1999. Overall one day record is held by the 1999 Saturday lineup which included John Lee Hooker and Wilson Pickett. The 2nd place record was another Saturday lineup, in 2007, which included Aretha Franklin and John Kay and Steppenwolf. The overall record may also fall to Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples and the rest of the 2013 Sunday Lineup.

This year’s lineup includes: Bad Influence, Jesse Dee. Nikki Hill, Samantha Fish, Lucky Peterson featuring Tamara Peterson, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and Eric Burdon and the Animals on Saturday and on Sunday: Deanna Bogart, Quinn Sullivan, Southern Hospitality with Damon Fowler, Victor Wainwright and JP Soars, The Slide Brothers, Indigenous and Mavis Staples. Closing the festival will be Bonnie Raitt.  The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival is held at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, MD on May 18th & 19th, 2013.

We may be looking at the first sellout of a single day ever. This is in part due to new attendance limitations placed on the event by Sandy Point State Park.

“More than setting records, a lot of good will happen for four very special causes with the money raised,” stated promoter, Don Hooker.

Discounted tickets available only until May 16th. Please purchase them here!
