Annapolis Wine Expo Tickets Going Fast

Annapolis is renowned for its waterfront beauty, brick-lined historic streets filled with unique shops and restaurants, and sailing.  On Saturday, May 11, 2013, the “sailing capital of the nation” becomes a wine connoisseur’s  paradise during The Annapolis Wine Expo.   In cooperation with Southern Wine and Spirits, over 100 national and international wines to suit every palate will be served at this “indoor wine festival” where guests get up close and personal with the sommeliers as they move between wine stations while tasting light hors d’oeuvres — all while listening to the engaging music of our guitar and flute duo!  Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase their favorite wines by the bottle and case.

WineExpo350x250_2 1The Wine Expo is being held on May 11th at The Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in The Lawrence “N” Room.  There are 2 sessions:  12:00-2:30 pm and 3:30-6:00 pm. Tickets are available online at:  www.annapoliswineexpo.com

In addition, attendees can attend one of three seminars at no charge!   Here is information on each: (1) “Learn to Taste Wine Like a Pro:” Learn about why we swish and swirl.  This class will sharpen your senses and teach you how to recognize flavors and aroma.  (2) “The Big Six Tasting:”  Become intimate with the Big Six Grape Varietals comprising 80% of all wines consumed:  Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet.  (3) “Cork and Fork:” Impress your dinner guests with knowing which wines pair best with which cuisine and why.  Learn how to pair wine with food and vice versa. Pre-registration is required for all three seminars and seating is limited.

And, one very successful component on the festival is “Dining at the Chef’s Table” where wine and food connoisseurs can dine in an intimate setting at the chef’s table at select historic Annapolis premier restaurants and indulge in a multi-course, wine-paired menu.  Reservations are made directly with the restaurant and seating is limited.  View our website for the menus of participating restaurants which include Cafe Normandy; Red Red Wine Bar; The Wild Orchid; Piccola Roma; Sam’s on the Waterfront; Middleton Tavern; Maria’s Sicilian Restorante, and McGarvey’s Saloon and Oyster Bar.

May 11th is the date to come swirl and sip with us in historic Annapolis while enjoying the charm of the city’s maritime heritage!  Visit:  www.annapoliswineexpo.com for online ticket sales or call 1-410-263-4012 for additional information.
