Fence Coming Where Teen Got Trapped In Mud.  The rescue of a teenager stuck in mud waist-deep prompted increased safety precautions at a dredging facility in Anne Arundel County. On Friday, rescue crews pulled a 15-year-old boy from the mud on county-owned land in the 7800 block of Water Oak Point Road in Pasadena. He had been there at least a half hour before his friends called for help and it took firefighters about 50 minutes to pull him to safety.

2-Alarm Fire Chars Lake Shore House.  A two-alarm fire severely damaged a house in Anne Arundel County Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters said they saw flames coming from the house at about 1:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue in the Lake Shore area of Pasadena. About 66 firefighters gained control of the fire within 45 minutes. The fire displaced residents who lived at the house.

Police: Boy, 15, Found With Loaded Gun At School.  School officials found a loaded handgun on a 15-year-old student at Glen Burnie High School in Anne Arundel County on Tuesday, police said. County police said the 10th-grade student left the campus and returned around noon, which prompted a school employee to confront him. Police said the boy was asked why he left and returned.

Police Probing Several SUV Rim and Tire Thefts.  Anne Arundel County police are looking for the culprits who are stealing tires and rims from vehicles in the Crofton and Gambrills areas. Police said they’ve received several reports over the past few weeks of tires and rims being stolen from larger SUV-style vehicles. Detectives said the thieves targeted Cadillac Escalades in three incidents and a Chevrolet Tahoe in another.
