2 Men, 1 Firefighter Hurt In Separate Glen Burnie Fires. A 60-year-old man and a firefighter were hurt and three townhomes were damaged during one of two separate blazes in Glen Burnie on Thursday night. Firefighters were first called to a home in the 6400 block of Lamplighter Ridge shortly after 9:15 p.m., where crews saw smoke and flames coming out of one of the two-story homes.

Mother Accused Of Trading Sex WIth Daughter For Debt. Montgomery County prosecutors said a mother and a Gaithersburg man are facing charges on accusations that they traded sex with the woman’s daughter to pay off a debt. Prosecutors said the mother is facing 11 charges, and 44-year-old Bejarni Rivas is facing 13 charges. Ramon Korionoff, a spokesman for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, said the charges range from second-degree rape to human trafficking.

Widow: Husband’s Pension Sent To Someone Else. A Baltimore County widow is accusing one of the nation’s largest financial services companies of mismanaging her late husband’s pension account because the $250,000 she said he left for their family ended up going to someone else. Judith Kiefer told the 11 News I-Team that everything changed for her on Valentine’s Day 2010 when she awoke to find that her husband, 56-year-old Jeff Kiefer, had died in his sleep.

Federal Internet Sales Tax Bill Will Determine The Increase For Maryland’s Gas Tax Bill. The U.S. Congress is considering a bill that would tax all purchases made online, but what many might not realize is that Maryland’s gas tax increase depends on whether that bill passes. In Maryland, local lawmakers have made sure the state will get the revenue it’s been losing from Internet sales, but who will shoulder the burden is what’s still in question.
