1 Of 2 Tens Injured In Hit And Run Dies. A 15-year-old Anne Arundel County boy struck in a hit-and-run on Friday has died. Police said three teenagers were walking along the narrow shoulder of Mountain Road on Friday night when two of them were struck from behind by an SUV, which fled the scene.

Michelle Obama To Visit Naval Academy. First lady Michelle Obama will visit the United States Naval Academy to deliver remarks at the bill-signing for Maryland’s Veterans Full Employment Act of 2013. Obama will be present on Wednesday as Gov. Martin O’Malley signs into law legislation that will enable veterans who apply for occupational and professional licenses in Maryland to get credit for their military training, education and experience.

3 Charged After Drug Bust In Arnold Home. Three people were charged after a drug bust at a home in Arnold, police said. Anne Arundel County police executed a search and seizure warrant at a home on the 1400 block of Falcon Nest Court around 10 a.m. Friday targeting drug violations. Authorities said Jessica Leigh Teeter, 36, was charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute controlled substance marijuana and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia.

Baltimore Ratchets Up Security After Boston Bombings. Baltimore City police have raised the security awareness level in the city in light of the Boston Marathon explosions, which means people coming into the city can expect extra security on public transportation and at Tuesday’s baseball game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
