Fire Displaces 18 In Bel Air. An early-morning fire at an apartment building in Bel Air has displaced 18 people. Harford County volunteer fire crews were called to the 100 block of Seevue Court in Bel Air around 2:45 a.m. after getting reports of a building fire. Officials said the fire reached two alarms, and one firefighter had to be taken to a local hospital for dehydration.

Hundreds Mourn Teens Killed In Kent Island Crash. The community of Kent Island grieved the loss of four young men during a vigil Thursday night after they were killed in a head-on collision a day earlier. Tyler Elzy, 19, of Chester; Michael Rigenbach, 19, of Stevensville; Cory Pessagno, 18, of Chester; and Harrison Smith, 18, of Chester, were killed Wednesday afternoon when their car collided with another vehicle on Cox Neck Road in Chester.

Ben Carson Withdraws As Commencement Speaker. A critically-renowned Baltimore pediatric neurosurgeon who made derogatory comments about same-sex marriage recently has withdrawn as commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His candor helped propel Carson into the political spotlight. Well-known and highly respected for his medical expertise, motivational words and charitable works, the neurosurgeon claimed he would speak plainly about his beliefs.

Police Release Photo Of Knife Used In UMES Slaying. Maryland State Police on Wednesday released a photo of the weapon used in the February killing of a student at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. During the news conference, authorities also elaborated on possible witnesses, and the search for the getaway vehicle continues.
