On Saturday, April 13, The Summit School will celebrate the work of Founding Executive Director, Dr. Jane R. Snider.  The event will take place at The Westin Annapolis and will include a live auction, cocktails, raffles, dinner, music, dancing, and a few surprises!

The evening will kick-off with a cocktail reception sponsored by Annapolis Subaru.  More than 400 guests will gather to honor Dr. Snider at the special event, which also serves as the school’s largest fundraiser of the year.  In fact, this will be the school’s largest special event in its history, made possible through generous sponsorships from Diamond Sponsor – Annapolis Subaru; Ruby Sponsors – Carol M. Jacobsohn Foundation, Intrigue Event Designs, Stephen and Renee Bisciotti Foundation, Stewart and Labbe Orthodontics; and many more local sponsors and donors.  The incredible amount of attendees and sponsorships is a true tribute to Dr. Snider’s impact on the community.

Dr. Snider founded The Summit School in 1989, a premier educational institution for bright students with dyslexia and other learning differences in grades 1-8.  Dr. Snider has helped thousands of families and countless organizations and has been honored with numerous awards for her achievements. She is leaving her role at Summit for new exciting endeavors.  Dr. Joan Mele-McCarthy, Head of School, will continue Summit’s tradition of excellence in education and non-profit leadership.

In addition to the event on April 13, Summit is now holding an online auction featuring more than 150 items up for bid.  There is something for everyone and all proceeds benefit The Summit School’s program.  The online auction ends on April 18.  Bid now at www.thesummitschoolauction.org.
