EDC Presents Check To Georgetown East Elementary

On Tuesday, April 9th, the Eastport Democratic Club honored Georgetown East Elementary School, a public school established in 1972, for many years of invaluable service to the community. Club President, Valerie Mills-Cooper presented Principal T. Andre Dillard and PTA President, Irene Ruth Cooper with checks totaling $1,650.; the sum represents proceeds generated from the club’s 2013 Eastport Green Beer Races that were held on March 16th.  School representatives hope to use the proceeds for their music department, a school play, PTA projects and another fundraiser, Spring Carnival.
