70+ Employers Coming To AACC Job Fair On Tuesday

nowhiringMore than 70 employers will be looking for workers at the Spring Job Fair from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium at Anne Arundel Community College’s Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

Veronica Boreland, employment services specialist at AACC, said job seekers should bring resumes, dress in business attire to make a good impression and be prepared to talk to employers about what they could bring to specific job openings that the employers are offering. Job seekers can see what jobs are available at each company or organization by visiting www.collegecentral.com/aaccspring. Scroll down to “Job Seekers” and click on “Employer Profile Search” to find the open positions.

There is a workshop the day of the Job Fair that provides additional tips on succeeding at the fair. “The Job Fair: The Spotlight is on You” gives last-minute tips for networking and getting noticed at a job fair and meets right before the job fair opens, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts on the Arnold campus. Attendees will be able to enter the fair at 11:30 a.m. before the official noon opening.

Employer registration still can be scheduled through Veronica Boreland at 410-777-2512 or [email protected]. There is a registration fee for employers to maintain a booth at the fair, and employers must have jobs available in order to participate.
