From left, Four River Garden Club members Charlotte Pennington, Kim Morrow and Lisa Sherwood prepare annual as well as perennial pottings for the club’s annual Flower Mart which will begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Market House in downtown Annapolis. A tradition for 65 years, the mart offers native plants and perennials from members’ gardens, herbs, hanging baskets and cut flowers. Club members will fashion May baskets from cut flowers and, for the first time, offer expert advice on flower arrangement for the novice gardener. Arranging workshops are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. for fees of $25 to $35. Call 410.757.5867 to register. Flower mart proceeds support community gardening projects as well as local historic houses and gardens.
