The Annapolis Wine Expo Is Almost Here

WineExpo350x250_2 1Annapolis is renowned for its waterfront beauty, brick-lined historic streets filled with unique shops and restaurants, and sailing.  On Saturday, May 11, 2013, the “sailing capital of the nation” becomes a wine connoisseur’s  paradise during The Annapolis Wine Expo.   In cooperation with Southern Wine and Spirits, over 100 national and international wines to suit every palate will be served at this “indoor wine festival” where guests move between wine stations while tasting light hors d’oeuvres.   Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase their favorite wines by the bottle and case.

The Lawrence “N” Room of The Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is where the exciting event takes place:  Session I is from 12:00 noon-2:30 pm and Session II from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. Session I tickets are $50.00 and Session II tickets are $60.00 and are available online with only 400 tickets being sold per session.

Guests can also select to attend one of the tasting seminars presented by Southern Wine and Spirits sommeliers:  Learning to Taste Like a Pro;  The Big Six Tasting; and Cork and Fork.   Advance registration with a ticket purchase is required.

Additionally, The Annapolis Wine Expo is a fantastic way to sample the cuisine of the fine restaurants of downtown Annapolis with “Dining at the Chef’s Table.” Foodies as well as those who simply appreciate fine dining can indulge in an intimate dinner prepared by a world-class chef.  Participating restaurants include:  Cafe Normandie; Piccola Roma; Red Red Wine Bar; The Wild Orchid; Sam’s on the Waterfront; Middleton Tavern; and McGarvey’s Saloon and Oyster Bar.  The menus can be viewed on the Expo website at www.annapoliswineexpo.com by clicking on “Dining at the Chef’s Table.”  Advance reservations by calling the restaurant are required.

May 11th is the date to come swirl and sip  in historic Annapolis while enjoying the charm of the city’s maritime heritage!  Visit:  www.annapoliswineexpo.com for online ticket sales or call 1-410-263-4012 for additional information.
