Woman, Dog, Found Dead In HomeAnne Arundel County police are investigating a suspicious death in Davidsonville. Detectives said two people discovered the body of a woman inside a home on Royal Glen Court just before noon Friday. Police identified the woman on Saturday as Nicole Burgess, 37. She suffered trauma to her body, and a dog inside the home was also found dead.

Missing Woman’s Body Pulled From Shore. A woman’s body that washed ashore Saturday on Kent Island is that of Robin Pope, who disappeared three weeks ago, an autopsy confirmed. Maryland State Police announced Sunday evening that dental records identified the body as the 51-year-old Stevensville woman, who was last seen on March 1 when her estranged husband said she went to the home they once shared to collect some belongings.

Snow Affecting Maryland Commutes. Snow and some rain is disrupting the Monday morning commute as a late winter storm moves through Maryland in the first days of spring. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Montgomery, Howard, Harford, Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties, and the Eastern Shore from Cecil County south to Talbot and Caroline counties until noon Monday.

Police Academy Candidate Charged With Impersonation. Baltimore City police have charged a man with assault, theft and robbery while impersonating a police officer in southwest Baltimore. Police said the incident occurred Wednesday night in the 1000 block of Poplar Grove Street. A victim told police Thursday that the suspect frisked him, went through his pockets, ordered him to put his hands on his head and robbed him of $75. The victim was able to give police a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.
