Anne Arundel County police said several students were arrested and charged after a fight that began on social media turned physical at Annapolis High School. Police said the fight broke out in the school’s cafeteria, where students gathered before classes around 7 a.m. Monday. The Annapolis High School Resource Officer responded to the cafeteria and discovered that the fight involved several students, while other students gathered to watch and formed a loud, disorderly crowd, authorities said.
Police: Man Throws Drug From Vehicle Before Stop. Anne Arundel County police said a traffic stop in Arnold led to a drug arrest. Officers stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe in the area of College Parkway and Peninsula Farm Road for a minor traffic violation around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. A witness told officers that the driver threw out a large amount of suspected marijuana from the vehicle prior to the traffic stop.
2 Men Sought In Laurel Strong Arm Robbery. Anne Arundel County police are looking for two men after a strong-arm robbery in Laurel. Officers were called to the area of S. Bruce Street near Gail Street around 4 a.m. Saturday. A 25-year-old man told police he was walking on S. Bruce Street and was approached by two men. One man punched the victim and knocked him to the ground while the second man kicked the victim while he was on the ground, police said.
Missing Woman’s Family Still Hopeful. The search for a missing Queen Anne’s County woman continues more than two weeks after she disappeared, and her family said they’re not giving up hope just yet. Maryland State Police are calling the circumstances of Robin Pope’s disappearance suspicious. Investigators and dedicated volunteers continue to look for clues on land, in the water and in the air for the 51-year-old Stevensville woman, who disappeared earlier this month.
