Heritage Easter Cantata In Three Suites & Children’s Easter Celebration

Easter_webThe Heritage Baptist Choir will present Resurrection Alleluias: An Easter Cantata in Three Suites, written by Benjamin Harlan, during the week leading up to Easter. As the title indicates, this cantata is made up of three suites, which will be presented on three dates leading up to Easter.

“Suite I” will be sung on Palm Sunday, March 24, during the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

“Suite II” will be part of the Maundy Thursday service, on March 28, at 7:00 p.m.

“Suite III” will be presented during the Easter Sunday service, at 10:30 a.m., on March 31.

The Heritage Choir is directed by Rev. Ralph Manuel, minister of music at Heritage Baptist Church. The public is invited to attend any or all of these presentations. There is no admission charge.

The church will also hold it’s annual Children’s Easter Celebration Saturday, March 30, 10 am to noon, featuring hundreds of candy-filled eggs hidden on the church grounds.  The egg hunt is open to toddlers through 3rd graders.  There will also be crafts, face painting, photo snaps, refreshments and a visit by the Easter Bunny. Everyone is welcome.  Activities and refreshments are free.
