artexhibitThe Anne Arundel County Commission on Disability Issues announced today that it will hold an Opening Night Reception on Thursday, April 25th to kick off the 2013 Artists Without Limits Art Exhibit. The reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:00p.m. at the Arundel Center, 44 Calvert St. in Annapolis, and is open to the public. County Executive Laura Newman is scheduled to attend the event, and each artist will be recognized by the Commission on Disability Issues.

Thirty-five local artists have been selected by jurors from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County to display their work in the exhibit. The featured artists range in age from school children to older adults. The exhibit gives these artists who struggle with various disabilities a chance to showcase their talents in a highly visible, respected way.

In addition to the opening night reception, the public is invited to view the art exhibit at the Arundel Center during normal business hours from April 25th through June 7th.
