Try A Local Plunge In Baltimore

LP-logo-Facebook-ProfileLocal Plunge announced that their sophomore event would come on February 21st. Local Plunge, along with Clementine, the Creative Alliance, Millstone Cellars, and a yet-to-be-named local artist are all teaming up to host an evening that will peel back the layers of one of Baltimore’s most historic and well-known neighborhoods.  Guests will get a look into the farm-to-table movement, while checking out the local art scene and enjoying some delicious and discounted food and drinks.

Local Plunge is a Baltimore startup setting out to bring the Baltimore area’s seemingly countless lesser-known but still spectacular neighborhood bars and restaurants to all Marylanders looking for a more interesting local scene.  The Baltimore startup hosts events at these venues where local spokespeople such as the owner, bartender, Brewmaster, a waitress or just someone who is representative of this particular neighborhood will give a talk or lead a discussion on what makes this venue interesting and unique to this time and place.

Last month Local Plunge hosted their premier event to a sold out crowd. Hosted by Of Love and Regret in Canton, the audience heard from Bar Manager and adult beverage connoisseur Ryan Travers as well as Brenda Strumke, sister of world-renowned Gypsy Brewmaster Brian Strumke. “Our first outing together was a great success and we’ve learned a lot to keep improving for you, Baltimore, as we move forward.” After selling out their first event they promised to continue growing into 2013.
