Man Charged With DUI, Police ImpersonationAnne Arundel County police said they arrested an intoxicated man who was impersonating an officer early Sunday morning. Police said an officer was patrolling the area of Furnace Branch Road East and Point Pleasant Road in Glen Burnie when he saw a black Ford Crown Victoria that looked like a police car pull into the 7-Eleven parking lot.

Man Accused Of Robbing 70-Year-Olds At Hotel. Police in Anne Arundel County have arrested a man in the home invasion and robbery of two 70-year-olds at a Glen Burnie hotel over the weekend. Police were called to the Hampton Inn in the 660 block of Ritchie Highway around 4 p.m. Saturday. Officers said they spoke with a man and a woman, both of whom were 70 years old and from West Virginia. The pair told police they were staying at the hotel when a man knocked on their door, claiming to be maintenance, and then came in and pointed a handgun at them and demanded money and property.

Jury Begins Deliberation In Johnson Case. The defense in the Michael Johnson murder trial rested its case Monday after calling only one witness and jurors began to deliberate in the case by the afternoon. The defense decided it would not put Johnson on the stand in the case in which he’s charged with killing North Carolina teenager Phylicia Barnes.

Ravens Kick Return Leads To $600K Furniture Giveaway. Gardiners Furniture advertised that if the Ravens returned a kickoff for a touchdown during the Super Bowl, it would give away free furniture — and now it owes thousands in refunds. The sun is shining on Ravens nation, on the Super Bowl champions and on their fans. Gardiners Furniture customer Tom Carter said he saw the advertised deal for those who bought furniture from Jan. 31 through 3 p.m. Super Bowl day. Carter was in the market for a box spring and mattress.
