Man Robbed By Knife Wielding Robbers I n PasadenaAnne Arundel County police said they are looking for two men in connection with a robbery in Pasadena. Officers were called to the 3000 block of Mountain Road around 12 p.m. Tuesday. A man told police he got out of his vehicle and was approached by two men armed with knives. One of the robbers demanded money from the victim, who turned over an undisclosed amount of money and fled toward Gladnor Road.

Police Look For Brooklyn Park Purse SnatcherAnne Arundel County police say they are looking for a purse snatcher. Officers were called to the 5000 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a strong-arm robbery. A 34-year-old woman told police she was walking through the parking lot when a man yelled to get her attention, ran up behind her, grabbed her purse off her shoulder and fled on foot. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find the man.

Store Employee Rescues Woman From Inner Harbor. An employee of a store at the Inner Harbor jumped into the freezing cold water Tuesday to save a complete stranger who it appears was trying to take her own life. Eric Muskat, an employee at the Urban Outfitters in Harborplace, said Wednesday he’s flattered but he doesn’t think of himself as a hero. It all started at about 2 p.m. Tuesday when Muskat said a woman in her late teens or early 20s walked into the store.

PSC To Utilities: Shape Up After Derecho Problems. Maryland utility regulators on Wednesday ordered electric companies to shape up after last June’s severe derecho storm, saying power was knocked out for too long to too many. Nearly 1 million customers lost power after the June storm, and for many, it stayed out for days. On Wednesday, the Maryland Public Service Commission ordered electric utilities to improve reliability and resiliency. It is requiring power companies to restore 95 percent of all customer outages within 50 hours for events when up to 40 percent of customers are affected.
