ValentineBackgroundAre you planning on popping THE question to your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day? Before you drop to one knee, consider this offer from a local chef: If you propose marriage to your loved one in his restaurant during one of his Valentine’s Dinners, he’ll give you ten percent off wedding catering.

Chef Zachary Pope, owner of the award-winning Roundz Gourmet Market & Catering in Gambrills, believes that Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to share his passion for food with others.

“Valentine’s Day is all about love and passion,” Pope said, “and I am very passionate about my food. Celebrating a couple’s engagement in my kitchen on Valentine’s Day? For me, that is perfect.”

Since 2004, Pope has catered weddings throughout the Maryland-DC-Virginia region and has received the WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Award for four consecutive years. In working with brides and grooms, Pope knows the importance of creating a unique reception experience while staying in budget.

“Cost can be a consideration for couples,” Pope said. “Ten percent off a catering bill can be a big deal.”

With advance notice, Chef Pope and staff will help with details and the surprise element for your engagement evening. As a bonus, the Roundz photographer will provide free photos of the proposal that night.

Valentine’s dinners at Roundz Gourmet Market are set for February 14 & 15 at 5:30 and 8 p.m. with a four course meal for $50 per person. Valentine’s dinner on Saturday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m., is part of the popular Roundz After Dark series and features a 6-course meal with live music for $80 per person. Menus and details are at www.roundz.com. Reservations can be made by calling 443.292.4631 or emailing info@roundz.com
