The acclaimed Merlin Ensemble Vienna presents “Transfigured Night,” a performance featuring Schoenberg’s piece by the same name in an arrangement for piano trio. The concert, which is free and open to public, will be held in the Great Hall on February 3 at 4 p.m.
Founded in 1991 by members of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Camerata Salzburg, Merlin Ensemble Vienna performs well-known works for various instrumental formations. Merlin Ensemble Vienna is a regular guest of international festivals and concert venues such as the Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, Beethovenfest Bonn, Schoenberg Center Vienna, Morgan Library New York, Berliner Ensemble, the Austrian Cultural Forums in New York and Washington, D.C., and many others.
