This email is to confirm that at 1:00 a.m. officers from our Southern District responded to a report of a shooting in the 300-block of Harry S Truman Parkway in Annapolis.  Upon arrival, officers found a male and female with gunshot wounds.  Preliminary information indicates that the shooting is possibly domestic related.  The female has been transported to Shock Trauma in critical condition and the male, believed to be the gunman, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Homicide Unit detectives have been called and actively investigating.  No additional details are available.  An official news release will be issued once the preliminary investigation is completed.

One person is dead and another in critical condition after a suspected murder-suicide in Annapolis early this morning.  Shortly after 1:00am, EMS and police were called to 304 Harry S Truman Parkway for a double shooting.

Upon arrival, one person was dead and the other, a 40 year old woman with a large caliber gunshot wound,  was taken to shock-trauma by ground as the weather prevented a helicopter from flying.

304 Harry S Truman Parkway is the address of the strip shopping center that sits across from the Hilton Garden Inn.

More details will become available when the police release their report.
