Prosecutors Rest In Leopold Case. Prosecutors on Thursday rested their case against Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold. Prosecutors said he misused his executive security detail to arrange sexual liaisons and to keep tabs on political enemies. During testimony on Thursday, another former member of Leopold’s executive security detail outlined his duties and responsibilities.  Two police corporals testified earlier in the week about their duties for the county executive.

Persons Of Interest Sought In Glen Burnie Theft.  Anne Arundel County police said they are looking for persons of interest in a theft of a purse. Police said the theft happened at the Sunset Restaurant on Jan. 10. On Thursday police released images of persons of interest, which were taken at the Citgo gas station at 7237 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

Police: Drugs, Guns Found In Crofton Man’s Car.  Police said they arrested a Crofton man after a traffic stop and a search of his vehicle yielded drugs and a loaded gun. Anne Arundel County police officers stopped the vehicle on Route 3 South near Johns Hopkins Road for speeding around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Two Men Sought In Connection With Annapolis RobberyAnne Arundel County police said they are looking for two men in connection with a robbery in Annapolis. Officers were called to the CVS Pharmacy in the 2600 block of Riva Road around 1:50 a.m. Thursday. Employees told police that two men came into the store, demanded money and took an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes before fleeing the store.
