Massive Gas Leak In Glen Burnie Stopped. Anne Arundel County fire officials said the gas has been shut off following a natural-gas leak in a southeast Glen Burnie neighborhood. Officials said nine homes were still impacted by the gas line break. Earlier, the area was evacuated. A Baltimore Gas and Electric crew was on the scene Wednesday to make repairs. The Red Cross was contacted about displaced residents, but officials said their services will not be needed.

Del. Dwyer Speaks On Events Surrounding Boat Crash.  Anne Arundel County Republican Delegate Don Dwyer spoke to WBAL-TV 11 News about his future and alcohol dependency in the wake of last summer’s boat crash. The Maryland Natural Resources police charged Dwyer with drunken boating in a collision with another vessel that injured Dwyer and six others, including children.

Corporal In Leopold Trial: You Don’t Tell Him No. The misconduct trial of Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold continued Wednesday with testimony from a police corporal who was on the executive’s detail. Prosecutors claim that Leopold misused his executive security detail to arrange sexual liaisons and to keep tabs on political enemies.

Police: Odenton Man Faces Drug ChargesAnne Arundel County police said they arrested an Odenton man in connection with a drug search. Police said detectives executed a search warrant targeting drug violations at home on Jo Ann Drive around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Detectives seized about 398.89 grams of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $7,977.80 and $986 in cash, police said.
