Boy Attacked By Bulldogs At Aunt’s Home. A 7-year-old Anne Arundel County boy is recovering after being attacked by a pair of dogs in Pasadena over the weekend. Officials told 11 News that the boy’s aunt called police Saturday afternoon, telling them her boyfriend’s two American bulldogs attacked the child at their home in the 3400 block of Barnsley Court.

Laurel Man Fatally Struck On Baltimore-Washington Parkway. A 71-year-old Laurel man hit by a car overnight has died, and state troopers are searching for a car involved. Maryland State Police said Henry Smith was fatally struck on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway near the Baltimore Beltway shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday.

Teen Scientist Wins Another Award, Gets Magazine Spread. An Anne Arundel County 15-year-old who has already received international accolades for developing a groundbreaking method to detect pancreatic cancer is now getting more recognition.  Jack Andraka is featured in this month’s issue of Smithsonian Magazine. The North County High School sophomore was first recognized for his discovery in May by winning the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

Baltimore Blogger Airs Police Talks, Peacefully Surrenders. A Baltimore blogger wanted on a court-issued warrant has surrendered peacefully to authorities after broadcasting on Internet radio his negotiations with police who had surrounded his home.  Police said Frank James MacArthur, 47, emerged late Saturday evening after having remained inside his home in the 600 block of McKewin Street when officers sought to serve a warrant issued in June by his probation agent stemming from a 2009 gun case. Authorities said MacArthur had missed a court date
