Gunman At Large After Fatal Bar Shooting

On December 30, 2012, at approximately 5:21 p.m., members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District responded to Dietrich’s Tavern located in the 7300 block of Furnace Branch Road East in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male subject, later identified as 31-year-old Sir Keith English Queen Jones, on the ground of an exterior parking lot suffering from gunshot trauma to the upper and lower torso. Officers immediately rendered first aid. Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victim to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds. The victim was a long time resident of Anne Arundel County, but has currently been residing in Pennsylvania. The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded and initiated an investigation. Detectives interviewed several witnesses and gathered evidence.

The victim’s activities prior to this incident are still under investigation. The suspect was described as a black male in his 30’s with a thin build and dark complexion. This investigation is active and ongoing.

UPDATE 8:24pm 12/30/2012:  From ABC2 News:

Anne Arundel County Police confirm that a 31-year-old man was shot and killed at Dietrich’s Tavern in Glen Burnie around 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

The victim has been identified as Sir Keith EnglishQueen Jones.  Court records show Jones listed to addresses in Glen Burnie and York, Pennsylvania. 

Police say the gunman fled on foot and is still at large.

Anne Arundel County Police are reporting that someone was shot and killed at Dietrich’s Tavern, located at 7346 Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie.  Police say the gunman fled on foot and is still at large.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’8″ and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie and light blue jeans.
