Drunk Glen Burnie Man Leads Police To Deceased Wife

UPDATE:   On December 11, 2012, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy upon the female in this case. On December 10, 2012, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an officer from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at W. Ordnance Road and Roberts Court in Glen Burnie.

Upon contacting the male driver, he told the officer that his wife was deceased inside their residence located in the 6600 block of Roberts Court and asked officers to check on her. Officers then went to the residence where they located the unresponsive 50-year-old female victim. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Due to the driver’s intoxicated condition, he was transported to Harbor Hospital, where he is being held and will be formally charged for various traffic violations upon his release. The female’s name is currently being withheld until the victim’s family is notified. The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division was notified and is currently investigating the incident. The final cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
