The nation’s largest 4G network just got larger for customers the Annapolis area. AT&T has activated a new 4G mobile Internet cell site in the Southern Annapolis neighborhood of Hillsmere Shores that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses and provide speeds up to four times faster than 3G. The actual tower is located behind the Forest Drive Fire Station.
Customers in the Southern Annapolis suburbs can now enjoy 4G speeds in the shopping centers, golf courses, and restaurants in the region.
The 4G expansion is part of AT&T’s continuing network investment to support the growing demand for mobile devices, apps and faster mobile Internet speeds.
“Demand for wireless speed is growing rapidly, and we are excited to bring these super-fast speeds to residents and businesses in Hillsmere Shores,” said J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid-Atlantic. “Our ongoing investments in Maryland will give our customers access to a more advanced mobile Internet experience they take advantage of at work or play.”
