meningitisA Glen Burnie High School junior has died from suspected bacterial meningitis.  The school sent home a letter today advising parents of the death and stressing that it is not highly contagious with casual contact, but also warned parents of the symptoms of the disease.  The school, in conjunction with the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, will not be taking any additional cleaning measures above the norm. Counselors were made available to students today to deal with grief.
