The musical incarnation of the beloved 2001 movie starring Reese Witherspoon and Luke Wilson premiered on Broadway in 2007, earning seven Tony Award nominations. It tells the story of strong-willed sorority girl Elle Woods, who follows her college sweetheart – who has just unceremoniously dumped her – to Harvard Law School . After winning an internship with her law professor, she takes on the challenge of defending fitness maven Brooke Wyndham, who has been accused of murdering her husband. Constantly underestimated by everyone around her, Elle – with her pup Bruiser by her side — learns she can stay true to herself, let her intelligence shine through and stay fashionable, all at the same time. The musical’s catchy tunes include “Chip of my Shoulder,” “Positive,” and “Bend and Snap!”
