Arnold Man Pulls Gun On Police Officer
UPDATE 08:39am 12/7/2012. Neall was convicted for resisting arrest and possession of an open container of alcohol in September 1999, misuse of a telephone by making repeated calls in December 2003, and possession of marijuana in December 1999.
On December 6 th , officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Belle Dora Court in Arnold for a neighbor dispute. Witnesses advised that a white male was acting erratically, banging on doors and yelling profanities. Witnesses reported that this behavior had been going on for most of the day. They then identified the building where the male lived.
The officer walked downstairs to await backup prior to making contact with the suspect. While waiting for backup, the suspect came out of his home pointing a shotgun at the officer. The officer immediately drew his service weapon and began ordering the suspect to put down the shotgun. The suspect did comply and was taken into custody. The weapon was then retrieved and found to be a loaded Winchester 12 gauge shotgun.
The suspect, identified as William Wesley Neall III, of Belle Dora Court in Arnold, was then charged with numerous charges to include; 1 st and 2 nd Degree Assault, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Reckless Endangerment.
