Casino Offers Free Table Gaming Courses For Dealers. Maryland Live Casino, in association with Anne Arundel Community College, announced a free table games dealer school on Tuesday. The courses in blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat, among other games, will begin Jan. 7. With Maryland’s passing of Question 7 in the recent election, Maryland Live Casino hopes to create more than 1,200 jobs upon introducing 150 table games and 24-hour gaming to the state. Of the 1,200 jobs the company hopes to provide, about 800 will be for table games dealers.

Man Arrested In Stabbing, Sexual Assault.   Anne Arundel County police said they’re investigating a stabbing and sexual assault. Authorities said 37-year-old Shane Miller is being held without bail after police caught up with him at an area grocery store. Miller is accused of holding a woman against her will at his Glen Burnie home, stabbing and raping her, police said. Investigators said Miller then drove the woman to the Food Lion along the 100 block of Crain Highway after forcing her into a vehicle.

Naval Academy Wants To Create Cyber Security Major. The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis is trying to make history with its latest educational endeavor. The academy is working to become one of the first schools in the country to have an accredited cybersecurity major. Education leaders at the academy said cybersecurity is quickly becoming an important part of national security. The goal is to have the program accredited within the next four years.

Paralyzed Priest Shows Off Miracle, Walks Into Annapolis Church. Hundreds of people packed Saint Mary’s Church in Annapolis on Monday night to greet an old friend who shared a miracle of his own during what many consider to be the season of miracles. Father John Murray, who was visiting from Brooklyn, N.Y., walked down the church’s aisle Monday night, three decades after first serving as its pastor and two years after being told he would never walk again.
