Teen Beaten, Robbed By Gang At Arundel Mills

On November 23, 2012, at approximately 0219 hours, Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Arundel Mills Mall, Hanover, Maryland.  Officers spoke with the 14-year-old male victim; the victim indicated he was approached by a group of black males at approximately 0210 hours as the victim exited the Bed Bath and Beyond store in the mall.

The group of approximately five suspects walked up behind the victim, and once the victim reached the sidewalk in front of the store, one of the suspects punched the victim.  One suspect stole a bag containing property the victim had just purchased.  After the robbery, the suspects fled on foot towards the Bass Pro store.  The suspects were only described as black males between the ages of 17-21, wearing black “North Face” jackets and blue jeans.

The victim suffered a minor injury, but his parents were contacted and medical treatment was declined at the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
